If it is a military, not a knock-off I'd buy it. I buy them whenever I see them if they are any kind condition at all.

Probably one of the M1's that was brought back into the country recently (within the last two years) and was sold by CMP.

That's a stellar price. MOST of these M1's were only in fair to rough shape. If you can see it and it APPEARS to function, jump on it. That's a great price for that weapon. Assuming it's in ANY kind of usable shape. Parts ARE readily available also.

This explains what these rifles are:

Guy is leaving the area(Marine) so needs to sell I guess.

I just don't REALLY need another rifle or to spend the money on it...but...:ok:

I'd buy it for $350. The only M1 Carbines I avoid are Universals.

Before buying it, you might want to see if the seller will let you test fire it using a 15 round GI magazine.

I'm happy with my IAI carbine (bought from AIM many moons ago, shortly after they started being sold). Never had any hassles with it.

IAI, Israeli American Arms...made in Houston w/ USGI parts on different recievers. All reports I've heard said they ran fine...I'd jump on it for $350...
